BEVERLY HILLS, CA — A 30-year-old woman was taken into custody on Sunday afternoon following a harrowing shooting incident at the home of global pop superstar Rihanna.
Authorities confirmed that the singer was inside her residence at the time of the attack, but fortunately, no injuries were reported.

The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) responded to a report of “shots fired” at the singer’s Beverly Hills mansion around 1:15 p.m. PT on Sunday, March 8, 2026.
According to law enforcement sources and dispatch audio, the suspect allegedly pulled up in a white Tesla and discharged approximately 10 rounds from an AR-15-style rifle. While most shots struck the perimeter of the property, at least one bullet reportedly pierced a wall of the home.
Following the gunfire, the suspect reportedly fled the scene, heading south on Coldwater Canyon Drive. LAPD officers located the vehicle shortly after and took the woman into custody without further incident. A weapon was recovered at the scene.
”The suspect was located shortly after and taken into custody without further incident,” an LAPD spokesperson confirmed.
While sources close to the singer confirmed that Rihanna was indeed inside the house during the shooting, it remains unclear if her partner, rapper A$AP Rocky, or their three children, RZA, Riot Rose, and 5-month-old Rocki Irish were present.
Rihanna, 38, has not yet issued a public statement regarding the event.
The identity of the 30-year-old suspect has not yet been released to the public, and a motive for the shooting remains unknown. The LAPD’s investigation is ongoing, and more details regarding formal booking allegations are expected to be made public on Monday.
The incident occurred just as the family had been celebrating recent milestones, including Rihanna’s 38th birthday and A$AP Rocky’s recent acquittal in an unrelated legal case.
